I think Callie is a nice nickname, but I don't like it as a given name. I think there might be some prn issues with Cali, but I don't think it would be that bad, I think both would work just fine.
I can't really decide between Calista or Callista, I change my mind every second. But I've loved Calliope "Callie" for a couple of months now, so that would be my pick.
