Emmeline
This was my favorite name for several years. I just thought of it again, when I realized how much I like the sound of Emily. I had almost forgotten about Emmeline. It's less common and I'd consider it as a first name whereas I'd only use Emily as a middle name.
1) How do you pronounce Emmeline? EM-eh-leen, EM-eh-line or EM-eh-linn?
2) Is there any pronunciation of it you can't stand at all?
3) Do you think it's too close to Emma and Emily and will sound boring and dated in a few years?
4) Emmeline or Emmaline?
I would pronounce it EM-eh-line, but I like the other two pronunciations as well. My favorite combo used to be Emmeline Pearl.
Opinions?

1. EM-eh-leen.
2. I've never encountered EM-eh-lin before, and I don't like it a bit. EM-eh-lien is not to my tastes, but it doesn't bother me much.
3. I think EM-eh-leen could easily be misheard as Emily. That's not a problem for the other pronunciations, and I don't think they're too close to Emma & Emily.
4. Emmeline. I like Emeline, too, but Emmaline just looks weird to me.
Emmeline Pearl is really pretty.

I LOVE Emmeline.
I pronounce it EM-eh-linn (or rather a mashup of that and EM-eh-leen), my least favorite spelling is EM-eh-line. It's close to Emma and Emily, but since Emmeline isn't as popular I doubt it will sound as boring and dated as they do now. And I much prefer Emmeline. Emmaline just looks wrong and ugly

Ahh this name
This name was really popular when I first came to BtN forums, along with Adelaide and a few others. There would be topics asking about whether people preferred Emmeline, Emeline, or Emmaline.
I pronounce Emmeline and Emeline as EM-eh-leen. I don't really like EM-eh-linn sounds like Emilyn or some creative variant of Emily. Emmaline for some reason looks like EM-eh-line to me. I don't think it's boring, I think it's a nice variant to the ever popular Emilys and Emmas. I would only use it as a middle name though.
My favorite variant is Emeline, it looks cleaner to me I guess, then Emmeline I guess but Emeline sooo much more.

1. I pronounce it Em-eh-leen.
2. I've never heard any other pronunciation of it but I wouldn't like any others. According to the comments Emmeline Pankhurst's name was pronounced Em-eh-LINE but I've never heard anyone say it that way.
3. Not too close but obviously similar. Don't know about how dated it will sound in the future. It sounds dated now to me.
4. Emmeline definitely. Emmaline looks like a misspelling.

I pronounce it EM-eh-line.
I like all the pronunciations but EM-eh-linn is my least favorite.
I don't think it will sound dated but I think it seems a little boring since it is so similar to Emma and Emily which are so common that I find them to be fairly boring. I think Emma and Emily will sound dated but probably not Emmeline.
I prefer the spelling Emmeline. Emmaline is okay but it looks a bit like an altered form of Emma, rather than a separate name in its own right.
I love the combo Emmeline Pearl. It is so soft and feminine with a hint of old-fashioned charm. Its colors are soft blues, greens, pinks, and pearly white. This name isn't quite my style but I feel like it is a great combo if you want something sweet and feminine with old-fashioned charm, but it isn't overly girly. Also I like the nn Emmie / Emmy because it has a little more spunk. Emmy reminds me of the spunky name Amy.
I fully support the use of the combo Emmeline Pearl.
