Layla and Leila are LAY-lah (so no, I don't think Leila as LAY-lah is weird at all). Laila and Lila are LIE-lah.
I like Leila a lot, but Layla looks tryndee and sloppy to me. Lila is gorgeous and I also like Laila, but the latter would be a spelling and pronunciation disaster.
