Jamie
What do you think of Jamie (just Jamie) for a boy? Can it stand alone, or should it be solely a nickname? Do you like Jamie better for a girl or a boy?
Thanks.
Thanks.

It's nice.
Jamie is fine as a nickname for a boy, but lacks substance as a full name.
The only time I've seen Jamie on a girl, she was French and her full name was Jeanne-Marie. Jamie sounded like zhaMEE, of course. That was OK, but just Jamie on a girl is plain silly.

It doesn't totally irk me to see it on its own (I have a friend with a little boy named just Jamie), but I would prefer it to be a nickname. It's one of my favorite James nicknames, I love it. I like Jamie for a girl too, but not as much.
Despite meeting a Jamie that was a girl (I think she spelt it different though), it is definitely a male name imo. I use it as an occasional nickname for my cousin James but I have met a boy that is "just" Jamie, I think it has the potential to be a name in it's own right
I like the name Jamie and I much prefer it for a boy than a girl. I think it can be a full name, definitely.
I don't like it much for a girl, but I absolutely hate it on a boy. It's so babyish sounding, and bratty. I would hate to see a boy stuck with it as a full name, and I'd hate to see a fine name like James knocked down to something so gross.
