I pronounce all three of those as ah-LAN-ah.
I've only met and known a few women with the name Alana / Alanna / Alannah. Somewhere between 3 - 6 total and I'm not certain on their spellings. I mostly associate the name with a character from a book series that I read in 8th and 9th grade. The character was called Alanna the Lioness, written by Tamora Pierce.
1. Alanna
2. Alannah
3. Alana
I would assume that they spelled their name Alanna. Alana looks too much like Alan with an A on the end which makes me think that some people will mispronounce the name as Alan-ah.
I don't think this name seems boring or dated at all. The few Alanna's I've met have all been around my age or younger. Because of the book series I always get some medieval vibes from this name.
Alanna and its variants are very red to me since A's are true middle red and L's are dusty purple or gray and N's are black or navy. H's are a pinkish red but more red than pink. So Alanna and its variants are some of the most red fiery and romantic seeming names to me. I also get a bit of an athletic tomboy vibe from the name. It's both girly romantic and tomboy. I imagine Alanna and its variants to be fire signs in Western astrology, especially Leo the Lion, followed by Ares and lastly Sagittarius. Alanna makes me think of red roses, sunflowers, fire, the sun, sunsets and sunrises, and other things that are red or related to fire and the sun. I can picture an Alanna with any hair color but I feel that redhead fits the best. I usually imagine Alanna's having red hair and blue or brown eyes, for some reason not green eyes, but I can see hazel working. I imagine an Alana to be less outgoing and more soft and quiet than Alanna or Alannah but they all have fire to them and driven personalities.

They are all a-LAN-a to me ("a" being a schwa).
I knew an Alana (a-LAN-a) growing up, who'd be 41 now. She was tall and friendly, long dark hair, gave me a good impression of the name. I don't think it's dated or boring. I prefer Liana for a name with a similar impression - Alana is pretty dominant seeming to me (that's not a negative, but Liana has more appeal for me, on paper at least).
I prefer Alana. Alanna looks like Al+Anna. The H on the end is trendy looking to me. It's Alan+a after all, and might as well look it IMO.
If someone said ə-LAH-nə I would probably assume it was spelled Elana.

Alana - ə-LAH-nə
Alanna - ə-LAN-ə
Alannah - ə-LAN-ə
I don't know anyone who bears these names. I do know one Alanis though. She's about 10 now.
1. Alannah
2. Alanna
3. Alana
I would assume ah-LAH-na's name would be spelled Alana.
I was absolutely in love with Alannah Sophia a few years back, so it's boring to me now.
I'd assume an Alana, Alanna or Alannah would be small, blonde, blue eyed, and Irish. The name and it's variants have a calm blue feeling to me, like the color not the feeling. Kinda' reminds me of streams with moss covered rocks.

Alana: a-LAH-na (the lowercase a's are like schwas)
Alanna: Same as Alana, but maybe with more of a "catch" on the n sound. So it would be less like a-LAH-na and more like a-LAHN-na.
Alannah: I'd probably pronounce this like Alanna, but I could be convinced it's a-LANN-a (rhyming with Hannah).
I don't know anyone with any of these names.
1) Alana
2) Alanna
3) Alannah
(I think this is one of the names where simplicity is best!)
I'd assume Alana
I don't think it's dated or boring. It reminds me of those Tamora Pierce books where the main character was named Alanna.
An Alana would be pretty, smart, imaginative, dreamer-type person, who gets along with people but is always willing to fight for herself and others, a bit reserved but never too shy to express her opinions when needed.
An Alanna would be similar, but maybe less of a dreamer and more outgoing.
Alana and Alanna would both have brown or red hair.
Alannah would be more prissy, less noble, less intelligent, and more superficial.
