Maialen
What are your thoughts on this intriguing Basque name?

I know a bunch of Maialens; it's pretty popular where I used to live (Gipuzkoa). I think it's really nice.

It has a nice sound, but all I can think about is myelin.

I think that it's pretty in theory, but I'd be confused if I heard it. How to spell it, how to pronounce it if I saw it... so I'm hesitant to give it a thumbs-up. A little too complex for me.
Very Cute and Unique!
I'm not familiar with Basque names but this reads to me as "Maya" with "len" added on. The sound is pleasant but it did immediately make me think of "myelin sheath", the covering that "insulates" the "wiring" in our brains. It's not a negative association, and folks who haven't taken medical courses would probably never think of it. If I've got the pronunciation wrong, please enlighten me. :)
