I think it's a lovely name, but super popular here in Australia. I pronounce it as MEE-ah.

I like it, but would never use it. Mainly because it's so popular and it's insubstantial compared to the names I love. I pronounce it MEE-ah.

For me, MEE-uh is Mia (or, increasingly in Australia, Miah... urgh); MY-uh is Maya or Maia. I would also say Mya as MY-uh, but I dislike this spelling.

I think it lacks a lot of substance. I don't mind it as a nickname, but as a full first name... plus it's very popular for baby girls here. I don't get the cutesy appeal.

I say "Mee-uh" and I think it's pretty and sweet. :)

MEE-ah and I love it.

Mee-ah. Reminds me of Mama. Too simple a sound for a human to wear.....

I say MEE-ah, and I always want to preface it with a "Mamma" or a "cara." For me, it's too much like naming a kid Mine. In fact, it always makes me think of the idiotic seagulls in Finding Nemo who say nothing but "Mine? Mine? Mine?" as they fight over fish scraps. MEE-ah isn't a pleasant sound anyway, imo--too much of a mealy bleat.

I much prefer MY-ah, but that's Maia or Maya. There was one in my son's class last year, spelled Mya.

I think of Missing In Action and the sound when Mario dies in the Nintendo games; beyond that I don't care for it one way or another. I pronounce it MEE-ah.

I say it the usual way, Mee-A. I don't like it, it sounds like a cat asking to be fed.

I like Mia, it's nice.

I quite like it, but it's quite nicknamey. I would use it as a nickname, for Amelia or Amalia perhaps.

I find it fluffy and insubstantial. The only one I've known was psychologically unstable, so that might not help me to like the name!

I pronounce it MEE-ah. I started to pronounce Maia as MY-ah, but then I realised it was probably MAY-ah, so changed.
I think it's one of those short and sweet names, like Eve and Lily. I'm surprised it's not more popular, even though it is pretty used.
