Re: Fiona vs Daphne
in reply to a message by April
I like them both just about evenly. Fiona has a light, pleasant sound. Daphne is perhaps more quirky. Daphne would turn my head more but Fiona would blend in better. I would go with Fiona. Daphne isn't totally "out there" but I think Fiona is more user-friendly. Your daughter might thank you for it. :-) Plus, I think it would sound very pretty paired with any of the names on your list as a middle name, should you choose to go that route. Not that you asked, but I think Fern and Phoebe "feel" similar. I have the same sort of regard for them--they're not my favorites, but I can find many things to like about them.

Thanks so much for the response:)I DO slightly lean to Fiona. Always have. But I have a love for Daphne, too. She makes me think of daffodils, spring, sunshine... But Fiona feels sweet, soft. It gives me a warm, cuddly feeling inside. What does everyone think of Olive?

If you don't plan on having more children and this could be your last chance to use it, why not Fiona Daphne? Or do you already have a middle name picked out?

I thought of that!:). But I just don't like them together... My combo is Fiona Pearl. Second choice is Iris Elena I think...
