Jared
Dated? Do you like it? I think it's not really appreciated which surprises me. It's biblical, has a great meaning etc It still sounds really fresh to me even though it was used a bit in the 70s and 80s. Fits in with all the Elijahs, Levis and Noahs. Any idea why it isn't more common?

I don't considered it dated, but that said as you might now I live in Sweden so I've never met anyone or have any idea how popular it really is/was. I think it's an alright name, but there really isn't that many nicknames to go with it, which might be what put people off from using it.

Too much of a Jewelry Store in my opinion. As a result of the "He went to Jared" ads I see it as more of a Jewelry Store than a name.

I don't mind the name Jared at all and am also surprised it isn't more common. I think it's probably used a little more often here in Australia than America though. I also believe the spelling Jarrod is more common here.

It seems dated to me. That's probably why I don't really like it. There's nothing bad about it though. It just doesn't seem fresh or appealing to me for some reason. It's odd because the equally dated Jason is still appealing to me.

I don't know why it isn't more common. I love it and don't see it dated at all.
