Claudia
I have begun to really dig this name. I'd never use it - it's not quite right for us - but I would love to see it used. Wdyt of it?

I loved Claudia when I was about 12 or 13, but my sister always made fun of me for liking it. I haven't thought about Claudia very much since then. I like it, but it's not a favorite at this point.
I really like the name Claudia as well. There's just a certain thing about it that makes me like it a lot.
I actually know a girl called Claudia and it's nice to see it used properly on a person. Makes me like it even more :)

I've always hated Claudia. It's such a drab, depressing, ugly sound. Clod-ia. Claw-dia. Blech. And the meaning doesn't help any either.
I love Claudia. I have loved it more since I have developed a GP for the show "Meet the Hutterites" on NatGeo which features a sassy Hutterite girl named Claudia who is always causing drama. Love her.
I like Claudia! I'd love to see it.
I think it's a bit dramatic, old-fashioned but not dated or old-sounding, and beautiful and classic. Plus it reminds me of Interview with the Vampire.

It's a name I wish was used more often.
Love it; it's up there with Susannah and Vivienne right now for favorite girls names. The meaning is pretty wack, but hey, how often do people go around getting called by the meaning of their name?
I met a woman, my age, at a birthday party a few weeks ago. Her name was Claudia, I thought it seemed very feminine, elegant and striking.
It's one of my favorite names. I think it's dark and beautiful.
I really like Claudia, but have always been turned off by its "lame" meaning. I think Americans would tend to think of it as somewhat "exotic," though by no means weird or that unusual, and I especially like that its used in so many different languages. As a matter of personal taste, I attempt to avoid female name derivatives of male names, though there are many good ones, this one among them.
Claudia makes me think of a girl with long, jet black hair and olive skin. But, maybe that's because of The Babysitter's Club books. Remember Claudia?

I love it. I would definitely have considered it if I'd ever had a second daughter. I knew a Claudia in high school, a very intelligent girl who went on to attend Princeton. The French teacher in middle school was a flamboyant man with affected speech and he just LOVED Claudia. I can still remember the way he would say her name--"CLAW-ja." But I must say I far prefer the "CLAW-dee-a" pronunciation to "CLAW-ja".
It's okay. Not overused, not really dated, easy to say and spell, not ambisexual. But for some reason I can't say that I really like it, it somehow has a chilly feel to it.
My cousin's daughter is a Claudia, she's 12. Everyone in the family likes it. The meaning is a bit gnarly but it's a very sweet-sounding name.
