Melody
I used to love it a few years ago and then kind of forgot about it. Now I like it again. What do you think of Melody? Have you ever met one? I'm surprised it wasn't more common in the 80s or early 90s, it fits in with names such as Stephanie, Mallory, Bethany, Kimberly and Tiffany (rhythm) and with names like Brooke and Paige (style). Are Meadow and Melody too close for sisters? I personally don't think so but as they both have the M and D in there I was wondering what other people thought. And if you had to pick one, Meadow or Melody? Also which of these combos do you like, comment please:Meadow Juliet
Meadow Violet
Meadow EmilyMelody Clare
Melody Rose (too much?)
Melody Estella

I taught a Melody once; not a satisfactory child, but very beautiful.I don't much enjoy word names, so I'd be wildly unlikely to pick either Meadow or Melody. Of the two, Meadow! It's not a word we use much in farming where I live - just field usually, or paddock - so that reduces its wordiness. Your mn choices didn't really do it for me, though. I like Melody Clare, so what about Meadow Clare? Or Meadow Suzanne?

I love Melody and I've never met one. I think Meadow and Melody are way too close. They both start with the meh sound, have the prominant d, start with M and have word names.I'd pick Melody because Meadow is a bit hippyish.Meadow Juliet
Melody Rose (I'm not sure what you mean by too much).

I like Melody and knew one in school. It does make me think of the '80s. Personally, I wouldn't use both Meadow and Melody as first names for siblings because of the similar sounds, but I don't think it's terrible to do so.Meadow Juliet - my fave of the three
Meadow Violet - fave imagery, but a touch too much nature in noun form
Meadow Emily - sweet; immediately thought she'd be an out-of-doors readerMelody Clare - nice, "Riverdance" comes to mind
Melody Rose - not so much "too much" as predictable, I think; likely many in the world
Melody Estella - I would tweak this to Melody Estelle and it would be my fave; immediately heard song lyrics in my head, "there's a warm wind blowing the stars around"

Hmm, it's never been a favorite of mine. I can't say I really like Meadow either. For some reason, both names seem really flaky to me. I do think they are too close in sound to each other to be sisters. My favorites are Meadow Juliet and Melody Estella. Melody Rose is too much. It seems cheesy.

Hmmm... Can't imagine using either in Scotland. My overall fave would be Melody Rose, because there's the option of shortening to Mel. Think Rose is lovely, imagine a wee baby's rosy cheeks when she born. ;) x
