I really like Coretta, and I definitely prefer it to Coraline. Coretta Scott King is one of the best possible namesakes.

Coretta is pretty as is Coretta Maeve. The first thing I think of is Coretta Scott King (sort of a one-person name). Maybe it's time to change that, huh?

I prefer Cora and Coralie or even Coralia to Coretta, which seems rather pseudo-Italian to me. Apparently there is something in Italian called a "coretto" and it refers to a tribune in a church, so it's not really name material then.

Coretta Maeve is fine, but I'm not fussed about either name. Maeve sounds quite old-fashioned, like an elaborate form of Mae. Coretta Mae sounds like a stereotypical American country woman.

I think people would assume you named her after Coretta Scott King if you live in the States.

I think it's incredibly ugly. Sounds like a knockoff of Nicorette gum.
