I don't like Lily at all - or most flower names, actually. And since I've got an Elizabeth friend who goes by Lillie, that's the version I prefer. I don't know why she uses that spelling, but the nn itself was her elder siblings' best attempt at Elizabeth so perhaps the Lillie spelling is also a childhood error.
Lilly looks unconvincing. Lili ... Lili Marlene underneath her lamp-post! Gee, thanks, I'll be whistling it all day. My poor colleagues! Lilli is better than Lilly but still not good. And Lilley is all surname to me.
