Theresa is my great-grandmother's name (my dad's side), and I've always loved it. I don't like any of the nicknames for it - though Terri, not short for anything, is my mom's name, which is probably why I like Terri and Theresa both by themselves. I don't have any combos on hand, though.

I've tried to like Theresa, but I just don't. I find it lackluster, dull, and...I don't even know how to describe it. If names were a dessert buffet, Theresa would be the bowl of artificially sweetened, cubed, blue gelatin off to one side. I don't know why I feel this way about poor Theresa; it's the style of name I usually like.

I prefer Theresa, but it's not a strong preference. I like almost all of Theresa's nicknames, including Tess, Tessa, Tressa, Tracy, and Terry, more than Theresa itself. Tess is my favorite, but I'd use it as a standalone.

I like it. I would spell it Teresa, because I say "tuh-REE-suh" not "thu-REE-suh". The TH- spelling looks like it should be pronounced with a "th" sound.

I like the nickname Tess, which is my aunt's name, and Tessa or Tessie are pretty cute for a young girl.

I've come to like it a lot more in the last year or two. It's really nice. I only like the spelling with the h. Without an h it looks like someone just forgot the h. I don't really like any of the nicknames. Tess/Tessie would be okay I guess.

In general, I like Teresa (prefer this spelling). I like the nns Tess, Tessa and even Resa.

I really like Theresa (that spelling) and Therese, I would consider using either. If I used them, I would probably use the nickname Tess some of the time, and her full name the rest.

My grandmother is named Marie Theresa, which isn't actually a good association for me but I love her name. I would consider Maria Theresa and Mary Therese if I didn't have that association.
