Lenny
WDYT??
It is a unisex name, but I think it works on a girl more than a boy

Hate it on a boy. But like it on a girl. On a girl in manages to sound both antique (I can easily picture a lil old lady called Lenny) and modern (Heidi Klum's daughter?). With that said, I do think it works better as a NN. My friend Carolyn gets called Lynnie sometimes
I never considered this as a girls name until today when I saw a female athlete called Lennie on TV. It's definitely more of a boys name to me; I don't like it on a girl. To be honest, I don't really like it for a boy either, but I guess it would be ok as a nickname for Leonard or something. I find it very dated on either gender.
I had a friend Elena who sometimes was called Lenny (I thought those people were asinine though, and I called her Elena--rhyming with Brenna).
I think it could be a cute NN for Leonora or Lena. I like it, but it needs a full name.
I cannot see it on a girl.
At all.
I've never, ever met a female Lenny but I've met quite a few male ones - plus you can't get more masculine than Lenny Briscoe from Law & Order. I like it for a boy and I wouldn't mind having a Leonard nn Lenny. (Husband strongly dislikes Lenny)

I never heard of a girl being named or even called Lenny, though I guess it's possible if her name was like Lena or Elena or something. To me, it's a boy's nickname.
I don't like it. It calls to mind a sneaky, slick, hoodlum kind of fifties throwback.
