How would you pronounce Ephym? (Yes, it's a first name.)

Regardless of the correct answer, it just looks like F-' 'em to me. :(

EEF-im. Or maybe EF-im. Either way, I like it (assuming it's masculine)! Is it a real name?

Llewella got it right with Eef-im! Though Eff-im is very understandable, too. One in every 702,203 Americans is named EPHYM, according to pokemyname.com, if that's what you'd call "real." I would also assume it's masculine. Though it isn't in this case. Thanks for all answers!

Hey, I win! :PI'm really curious about that name now because I really like it! It sounds very Hebrew, but the y being in there throws me off. Googling it it does seem likely to be Hebrew, and Ephim is also a name and surname. I'd guess Ephym is the variant spelling of Ephim then. But I can't find out any more about it!

Okay, you've obviously done your research so I'd better fess up! It's part of a username that, complete with "Glenyn," is homophonous with a real name... Which I'd rather not divulge online. But you're free to guesses! _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Glenyn is a real surname, Ephym I "made up" until I realised it's a real, albeit rare, given name. I figure it is a variant to Ephim, or else related to Ephraim, etc. So Ephym Glenyn, hmmm.. haha. Maybe this is a disappointment seeing as it's a fake name. Sorry. PS. I agree with you, though, for a boy it is a cool name and I will let you know if I find out more about its origins, etc.
