I like Danielle, and I like Daniela better. You could use Dani, Ella, or Elly as a NN I suppose, but I'd use the whole name.Leslie, lucky mommy to Scott (2000), Delaney (2002), and Larissa (2005)

Danielle is alright, but it is a bit dated and does remind me of writer Danielle Steele. I have come to like Daniela (or Daniella) a lot lately though, WDYT of that? As for nns, I don't really think Danielle (or Daniela) really need a nn but I do like Dani and Ellie or what about Delle or Della! :)

Danielle is boring, overused, and dated to the 80s for me. I don't like it at all.If you don't like Dani, you could call her Elle, Nell, or Della.Array
