I hate every name that ends in an "issa" sound, including Alyssa. I think that they are too over-the-top pretty and too femme and just overall try too hard, as if they are screaming at everyone about how pretty-pretty-pretty they are.

A while back, my daughter mentioned someone she knows who has a little girl named Alyssa, and then I said, "Eeew, Alyssa, I can't stand that name" and then both my daughter I started to repeat the name Alyssa and say, "Hi, I'm Alyssa, I'm so pretty" over and over while making our eyes big and putting stupid smiles on our faces and lisping the S in the Alyssa and pronouncing "pretty" as "pwetty".
