I've been thinking of Edith a lot lately, it's rather nice, a bit old-fashioned, but has a charm to it that I really like. I've been watching the BBC mini series 'North & South' and there's an Edith in there and I love the way they say her name with their British accents. I've also read a story where it was used by a Scottish family. So because of those two associations that I've been thinking of lately I'd pair it with:Margaret
Maxwell
Henry
Maria
John
Lennox (the character's LN in N&S)Joyce
Mark
Celia
Billy
Humphrey
Alice

Edith...I'm not sure if I really like it, but it's growing on me a bit. I still get the "old lady" vibe from it, but if I say it a couple times, I start liking it. Girl names starting with Ed- are generally unfeminine to me, but I think Edith is an exception that proves the rule (in my mind :-P).mns...
Edith Ophelia
Edith Jeanette
Edith Megan
Edith Aileen
Edith Kate
Edith Freya
Edith Joan
Edith Michaela

Rosemary Faith
Joan Elizabeth
Henry James

Edith, Agnes and Matildaare names which go together imo. The same style. Names like Ida, Agnes and Matilda have been popular in Sweden for a long time, and Edith is getting more popular now."But it’s all right now.
I learned my lesson well.
