Surely she's faded sufficiently from public consciousness by now? It's a very good name if you can avoid Di or don't mind it, so I think you could go ahead. I do mind Di, so I would probably use it as a mn.

I think you could definitely use Diana on a baby. I have a little cousin named Diana who is about 2. I don't believe it will be heavily associated with Princess Diana, however I still believe there would still be some associations to her. But I don't believe that is bad.
