Re: Zemfira

First connection - the musician, of course.
When I was first learning Russian, one of my teachers was obsessed with Zemfira and would try and teach us stuff from her songs. We all had to sit there chanting Zemfira lyrics whilst she played the guitar badly. She was so lovely and I guess it's such a weird way of teaching that it stuck, but it was utterly ridiculous and 90% of the class, myself, can't sing for anything, so my memories of Russian classes back then are mainly blurry recollections of terrible singing. So yeah... that's what Zemfira makes me think of, haha.
I like it. It's very pretty... but something about it just doesn't sit right with me. I guess I find it a tiny bit airy and unsubstantial, but I don't know why.
