I used to really like it when I was younger (8-12 years old, somewhere in there). It made me think of a blue jay. Nowadays, I feel like it is short and weak on it's own. I could see it being a middle name, akin to Lee. For a first name, I think I'd like to see it as a nickname. Jason, Jacob, James, Jadon.
Actually, the more I think of it in terms of the bird, the more fond I become of it again. A lot of the following middle names are names I liked around that time, as well.
