Emily

I think Emily is still beautiful, especially as a middle name. Meadow Emily and Meadow Emily Danielle are both very sweet, but I'm not sure about the double /eh/ sounds between Meadow and Emily.
I know about a bazillion Emilys. I was born in 1992, so right as Emily was at the head end of its heyday. I have 9 Emilys on my Facebook friends list, and I know a number of others that I don't really spend any time with. Its popularity doesn't kill it for me, though. It's a timeless name and I always think of Emily Dickinson.

I like the name very much, it's pretty and classic. I wouldn't use it due to popularity.
Emily had been my sister's favorite name for a long time and at one point she was sure she would use it. Until she became aware of its popularity, at which point she gave up the idea of using it as a first name. Avoiding a popular name was very important to her. But because it had been her favorite name, she gave it as a middle name to her first daughter. Her name is Mara Emily. I agree, rather unexpected as a middle name.
Meadow Emily flows quite well. Meadow Emily Danielle is a bit much. I've known three Emilys. One was a secretary to my husband. We knew her back in the early eighties, and she was in her forties then. Must be about seventy now. Another was a young woman who was in her early twenties when I knew her, she must be approximately thirty now. Another was the daughter of a friend of mine, who is seventeen now.

I have known lots. My kindergarten teacher was named Emily, she must have been in her sixties back then. Very nice lady. I went to high school with a couple, have known a few here and there, and there is one in my daughter's kindergarten class, plus a girl whose full name is Morgan Emily.
I don't like it, never have. It just seems so bland and inoffensive as to be obnoxious. Like plain cheap white bread spread with margarine instead of butter, with the crust cut off. Blah.
Meadow Emily doesn't flow because of the two repetitive short e sounds and the mumbly quality you get with repeated m's.
