I confess I adore this name. I will probably be in the minority. "Muriel's Wedding" first turned me on to the name. And then I heard a relative of mine say it with the Gaelic "r" it deserves and the name is musical to my ears now. The meaning "sea bright" or "bright as the sea" adds to its charm.
