HelpWomanly name to go with nickname Jake.
I have a character named Jake that I've just decided to turn into a woman. I could find a different name, but this character will always be Jake in my heart, so I'm looking for a more womanly name that can be shortened to Jake.

That's the most logical choice. I suppose Jessica would work too, but it's a stretch and that way you run the risk of her sounding like a self-conscious tomboy desperately trying not to grow up by hanging onto a childhood nn. Jake as short for Jacqueline is less forced.

Jacoba. Perfectly fine name, although in my country it's very much seen as a grandmother name. ;)

Although it's not in the BtN database Jacaranda is sometimes used as a girl's name. I found it quite by chance in a wedding notice dated about 1950 in the London Times newspaper, and although the bride was English I think it's sometimes used in Latin America.
