Berenice
Thoughts? I think this name may creep into my top ten by next month. I've seen Bernice listed here on this board before, but not Berenice. Berenice seems a bit more versatile to me. Though, surprisingly, I'm not usually fond of B-names for either gender or names ending in -ice.
I use the pronunciation behr-eh-nees; it seems the most lovely and natural to me.
I'd love to hear some opinions!

It is nice, and it could grow on me. If you are prnouncing it to rhyme with Clarice, then I really really like it.
Yes, the last part sounds a bit like Clarice, with the stress on the final syllable. :)
Bérénice
Love it but I think you might need to use accent marks or people woukd just say "ber neese" I think it may be more familiar to people thanks to Bérénice Bejo who was in The Artist. Good French name without a lot of prn issues!

Indeed, Bérénice Bejo is where I first heard the name. :D
The French pronunciation seems rather intuitive to me, but I don't really like "ber neese", so using the acute accents my be advised to prevent pronunciation issues.
