Rosarie...wdyt?
Suitable first name? Only in middle name slot? Overall impressions? Thanks!

It looks like an Asian spelled Rosalie wrong or like someone spelled the Catholic concept wrong and then stuck it on a kid. Either way, it's not really working for me.
I think of the beads...
Not unless one is Catholic. But it's pretty.
I like Rosaire (for a boy) or Rosary (for a girl)...
When I see the Rosarie spelling I keep wanting to make it into either: Rose Marie, Rosalie, or Rosario; if used as a first name, people might commonly mistake it for one of those, so I like it better as a mn.
I think Rosarie/Rosary is a surprisingly pretty word name, though. I've never really thought about it before.

Rosarie...Rosaire
I totally read that as Rosaire (thank God I read the other comments) which is a rather uncommon french male name that means rosary and I was about to fan-girl over it because it's amazing and I think it can work for a male first name or maybe a female middle name. Rosaire Thomas, Jude Rosaire, Elizabeth Rosaire, how completely lovely are those?
Rosarie I sounds like a nickname to me, either to Rosario or Rosaria (either can be female, depending on the cultural background) though the emphasis on syllables is a little different. I actually have a great uncle Rosario which I was very happy to find out. Rosarie is pretty and if it wasn't a misspelled word I'd totally jump on that wagon with you, but for me if I had to do use it, I'd do it as Rosaria nn Rosarie. I'm Catholic though, and I know it's not like naming your daughter Chastity but I'd be afraid giving a girl a name that sounds exactly like rosary would have a counter effect while Rosaria doesn't scream rosary and she can still choose to go by Rose or Rosie if she chooses to not want to go by the nickname Rosarie.

I think it could work. It's not that different from Rosalie.
I think Rosary would be an alright name. Kinda neat, actually, if you had a Catholic background. But not Rosarie. It's a misspelled word. Or a typo of Rosalie.
