Asenath
What do you think of the name Asenath? I'm pronouncing it AZ-e-neth. Any nicknames that come to mind? Would you use it as a FN or MN? Thanks!

I don't know. I'd like to use it, but it's probably a name only found on dumb-as-hell women from sub-Saharan Africa.

I enjoy Asenath because it's so creepy. I guess because the only place I've seen it used is in an H.P. Lovecraft story, it's got this really dusty, cursed sort of vibe to it. I'd probably use it as a middle name myself.
Nattie as a nickname comes to mind. That brightens it up a bit!

I think it's intriguing in an Egyptian way. Asenath sounds like she should have her own pyramid.
Objectively, though, I don't like the sound of it, and I predict many people would pronounce the first syllable like "ass." That wouldn't be fun to live with, so I'd only consider it as a middle name.

I think it's ugly looking and ugly sounding and very prone to mispronunciation, and ugly nicknames involving ass.
