Just wondering how you pronounce these names. I pronounce some of them with an -een, some with an -inn and some with an -ine ending so I'm really curious :P

Using BtN's pronunciation key...
Caroline: KER-ə-lien
Rosaline: I would think RAWZ-ə-lien in my head (Shakespearean pronunciation), but I would assume the person's name was pronounced ROZ-ə-leen
Emmeline: EM-ə-lien
Madeline: I would think MAD-ə-lin, but assume MAD-ə-lien
Adeline: AD-ə-lien
Madeleine: MAD-ə-lin
Caroline: KER-ə-lien

Emmeline: EM-ə-lien
Madeline: I would think MAD-ə-lin, but assume MAD-ə-lien
Adeline: AD-ə-lien
Madeleine: MAD-ə-lin
I pronounce them all like "line" except Emmeline, which is "leen" and Madeleine, which is "len."
My pronunciations are probably standard for where I live with the possible exceptions of Madeline/Madeleine (always a question mark) and Rosaline and Emmeline (not common enough locally to have a standard pronunciation).

All with a -line ending, and that's my favorite for all of them except Rosaline (I prefer ROSE-ah-leen or ROSE-ah-lyn). I also like MAD-uh-lehn (not MAD-uh-lyn, which I hate) for Madeleine, though.
Caroline: -linn or -line, depending on the circumstance.
Rosaline: I use all three (-linn, -line, -leen) for different situations.
Emmeline: Both -leen and -line.
Madeline: Probably -linn or -line.
Adeline: -line and -linn.
Madeleine: -len or -line.
I do not have one set way. As the first to display, the pronunciation is dictated by the condition.

Caroline - (my name) The closest I can get to how I pronounce is -leen. I like the -lin pronunciation too. That's how people pronounced it in France. In English I'm Caro-LINE. I always introduced myself as Caro-LINE in Ireland and did not like when people called me Carolyn.
Rosaline - lin
Emmeline - leen
Madeline - lin
Adeline - lin
Madeleine - len

I DO NOT like it when people call me Carolyn. The bane of the existence of a Caroline.
Caroline- ine
Rosaline- een, prefer the spelling Rosaleen
Emmeline- inn
Madeline- inn
Adeline- ine
Madeleine- enn
Caroline - line
Rosaline - This always gets me. I use all the prn, usually -een or -ine and I prefer -ine....I think.
Emmeline - leen
Madeline - linn
Adeline - linn
Madeleine - I always have troubles prn this in English. It's my aunt's name (though she spells it Madelaine) and when I say it in english it becomes some wicked mix of Swedish and English. I guess I say it like -lien

Caroline - line ending
Rosaline - leen ending
Emmeline - leen ending
Madeline - I never know...I prefer the line pronunciation but the -lin pronunciation is the one I hear most often for this spelling (Madeleine for the -line) so I'd probably assume -linn if I was reading the name off a list or something
Adeline - leen

Caroline -line
Rosaline -leen
Emmeline -line
Madeline -lyn or -line or -len
Adeline -line
Madeleine -len or -lyn
For the Madeline names, -lyn feels most natural, but it doesn't excite me.
No prn. of these is popular in my area because I live in Jpn... The l would prob'ly turn into something between the r and l.

Emmeline -line

This is how I pronounce each name as I see it written down.
carrow-LINE
rozz-a-LINE
emmuh-LEEN
madduh-LEN or madduh-LINE. Don't really have a fixed pronounciation for this one.
adduh-LINE
madduh-LEN
If I met someone with one of these names in person, I'd pronounce their name however they said it, but if it was via email or sth I'd say it with the above pronounciations.
My favourite name here is Emmeline, but not when it's said emmuh-LINE. Ugh. And I also really like Caroline. Much better than Carolyn.

If my natural prn is preferred prn I just put the one.

ditto most of this...
Except I would be likely to say Emmeline and Rosaline to rhyme with green. Never having met anybody by those names.
I'd say Madeleine to rhyme with pin except when reading the Madeleine books, because then you have to rhyme it with pine or the rhyme scheme is ruined.

Caroline--I pronounce it with an INE ending. Otherwise, it's Carolyn, not Caroline. I can't see any other pronunciation for it.
Rosaline--Also with an INE ending, which I prefer to any other. Otherwise, it's Rosalynn as in Rosalynn Carter. Nothing against her, but I prefer Rosaline to Rosalynn.
Emmeline--Pronounce it with an INE ending and would prefer that to any other.
Madeline--Pronounce it with an INN ending. I can see an INE ending for it, and that's actually prettier, but it doesn't come naturally to me.
Adeline---Pronounce it with an INE ending. I don't like the name at all, so have no preference.
Madeleine--Same as Madeline.
