I love Carla, I think it's simple and elegant. It would be on my list if there wasn't a Carl, Carla, Karel and Karl in my family already! (Admittedly, Carl is deceased and Carla and Karel live in the Netherlands, but my family just don't like unneccesary name double ups lol).

I like Carla, mainly because I know an 18-year-old girl called Carla, and she's a really cool person. I like the sound of it, and it's fun to say. Carla is a million times better than Karla, in my opinion.

I just...don't like it. Its plain, its boring, and its just a big yuck for me. Charlotte isn't overused here, but Carla...is just not for me.

It sounds very low-class to me. I don't know why...but I mostly associate it with trashy, loose women. I've met a Carla that was very nice, but she couldn't dispel the image for me, even though I have no idea how I got it.

I'm not particularly fond of it, mostly because, once you get all the way back through the meanings for Charles and such it just means "man". So with Charlotte or Carla it would kind of be naming your daughter "man-girl". So it bugs me. But I'm so much of a meaning freak that I've cut out half my favorite names for meaning's sake.
And I've had a bad experience with a Carla, so...

I love it. It's definitely undersused and underrated for sucha lovely name. I think I prefer the spelling Carla, though where I come from Karla is the "official" version.
