After viewing the other responses, I was beginning to think I was the only person here who pronounced Lila that way. Oddly enough, we're on opposite sides of the world.
I pronounce Lila LEE-la as well. Mainly because it's a Sanskrit name and I feel it is the correct pronunciation but also because it sounds nicer and makes sense to me.
lay-lah, lai-lah and ley-lah sound the same to me!?
