I like it if you're pronouncing Jacqueline in the French way.

I like them together although I'm not too wild about the possible nick, Jackie.

I love both names and they would be smashing as sisters. :-)

I far prefer Alice to Jacqueline. Jackie, in particular, has a middle-aged image and a cigarette-smoking one at that, with smeared lipstick in the wrong colour.

I'm not a fan of Jacqueline at all, I find it quite boring. Alice I love though and think it's timeless and gorgeous.

Jacqueline is very late '70s and early '80s in my country, so to my ear, it sounds quite outdated. Also, the obvious nicknames for it in English (such as Jackie, Jacqui) sound a bit cheap to me (to put it nicely), so that doesn't help to improve Jacqueline's appeal either. I would suggest you try Jacquemine instead (google it on e.g. the French version of Google, if you wish) - at least with that one, you can use Mina as a nickname for it (which would be really cute).

As for Alice, the name sounds rather bland and old-fashioned to me. I mostly think of Alice in Wonderland, which is not a good association (I never read the book, but hated the Disney film and the Japanese anime as a child). Perhaps you should try a more exciting derivation of Adelaide instead, such as Aletta (see Submitted Names Database) or Adela.

I think they're okay. Nothing to write home about, but respectable, pretty names.

Not Alice again :P I dislike it, makes me think of Alice Cooper and Alice in Chains. So overrated. I always thought Jacqueline was rather trashy. It's also very 80s. I know quite a few with spelling ranging from Jaclyn to Jaquelynn. I also dislike Jackie.

I like Jacqueline. I don't like Jacki / Jacqui ... I'd maybe be okay using Leni here, if a nickname situation ever came up. But I just like it.

They go well together, but I don't much like Alice. It's got vibes to me that are simultaneously "Fat, loud, trashy-looking Wal-Mart cashier) and "sullen, pasty-skinned high school intellectual who's only interested in vampires and the Victorian era." Jacqueline I like, especially Jackie.
