I've always liked Evan as a handsome, masculine name. On the assumption that your desire in posting here was to get honest reactions/opinions, I will speak plainly and admit that I would think the choice a shame if I met a girl named Evan. I would not be so rude as to tell her that, of course, but it's my honest reaction.

I used to love Evan for a boy, but I preferred Eve or Eva for girls, and obviously couldn't use both!

I would never use Evan over Eve or Eva, which are more clearly feminine and so pretty. I do know a female Evan though.

I think Evan for a girl is horrible. I'd much prefer to use Eve, Eva, Evie or Evelyn!

I dislike it for both genders. Ivana is OK, though!

Wouldn't do it. Yvonne is fine, but Evan on a girl lacks appeal somehow. Evelyn would be much better. Even on a boy Evan is kinda boring and trendy imo. On a girl, it's just unappealing.

Eh, I'm not really a fan of Evan in general so I really can't get into it for a boy. Evelyn, Eve and Eva however, are pretty awesome.
