It gives me an impression that is fusty, pious, and sort of weak. I think Moss is better.
I think I'd have a hard time separating the name Moses from the Biblical Moses even if I met one.

I couldn't use Moss as a name... My friends in B.C. would automatically associate it with the green stuff that grows on trees and rocks and pretty much anywhere else it can grab on and stay a while.

Yeah ... I'm in WA and that would possibly be worth a laugh here too. Although I like the way the name sounds, and I like moss and think it's pretty and interesting ... it does become a pest in the lawn, on the roof, and everywhere else. Nobody around here would be able to help thinking of it that way.
