Re: Melinda

It's a nice-sounding name w/ a fun and friendly feel to it and not overused... all points in its favour.
As for the best combos, hmmm... As much as I love Roxanne, it doesn't really sound quite right w/ Melinda. May be the stress on the n sounds in both names... Viviane has the same problem. So does Celestine.
Beatrice, Beatrix and Beryl kinda work. (I'm not usually a Beatrice and Beatrix fan, but it works in the mn position here) Though I rarely like Bryony, it sounds nice here, though its meaning is somewhat odd for a name.
Clare's kinda boring in the mn spot, but ok.
Sybil and Verity are ok.
Like Charlotte enough on its own, but maybe it would sound better in the other order.
Emiline's ok on its own, but not so wonderful after a name ending in a.
Eve is so-so in this position.
Lucille kinda works.
Rosemary is nice. Rosalie would work too.
Not into the MM combos... or the -a A- combos (flow issues).
The other mns just don't tend to grab me in and of themselves... w/ or w/out Melinda.
