(chants) Bren-na, Bren-na, Bren-na!!

I don't really know how to describe this, but I feel like there is a category of names that all sound sing-songy, door-bell-y, etc. Names like Kaleigh, Haley, Bailey and all such rhyming variants fit into that category. Same sith Aiden, Jayden, Caden, etc. And same with Keeley. To me, the feel cutesy, trendy, overused, and annoying. Brenna on the other hand is intriguing. Similar to the more common Jenna. But still different. A little like Brynn, but more feminine. I definitely vote for Brenna.

Laura Wattenberg (author of The Baby Name Wizard) calls these names "Bell Tones." She even has a chart in the book with syllables to assemble your own. I call them "syllable kit" names. Or just "trendy crap." ;)

I have always thought of names like this as syllables stuck together, I'm going to have to start using "syllable kit"! :)

Complete ditto.Keeley is childish and silly and sounds like a random jumble of popular syllables rather than an actual person name.Brenna is lovely. So spunky.

Nah, I kind of know what you mean. I somehow feel that Keeley is ever so slightly different, I guess because you rarely hear it on an actual person. I think it's spunky. But I don't like that it can be lumped in with Kayleigh, Kylie, etc... which seem too common/overused.
