I kinda like Alison better, though neither excites me. They're not bad though... just boring.

AliceAlice is definitely my favourite of the two, without a doubt. I'd love to use it actually, but my younger brother's gf has Alice as her mn and DH is not overly keen on it.

Alice. Alison is nice, though.

Alice is my name. My mom gave both me and my sister stuffy old European names (Alice and Sarah.) I use Lesley as my internet handle because it's a lot more casual and chill. So yeah, Allison for sure. So much less overly sophisticated.

Alice for meIt's more refreshing because I've never known one, compared to knowing many many Allisons. Seriously the first Alice that comes to mind for me is the wonderland type. So it has more interest than Allison.

Alice, but Alison is better than either.

Given the Allison spelling, I'll pick Alice. If it was Alison vs Alice, I'd vote for Alison.

Alice.Much prettier, more classic and much less dated.

Allison, although I prefer the Alison spelling.

Allison. It just feels more complete and less prim than Alice to me. I like it with sort of solid sounding mn's:Allison Bridget
Allison Gwenyth
Allison Katya
Allison Ursula
Allison VeroniqueBut I'm not reall 100% on any of those combos. Except maybe Allison Katya. That's cute :)

AliceIt's much prettier and sweeter. Allison seems very dated to the 80s and 90s to me. I've heard it so many times it's just bland to me now. Also, I don't like the -son ending.

Just a few months ago it would have been Alice. I used to love it, it gave me an Alice in Wonderland image. Now I only think of Alice in Chains and Alice Cooper. It's not attractive to me anymore at all.I dislike Allison too. I like Alison. Alison is sweet and medieval and I get to use my favorite nickname Ally. So if it's between Alison and Alice I choose Alison. However if I can't change spellings I'd pick Alice and I'd call her Ally.
