Cecile
What are your impressions, thoughts on Cecile (Cécile)? I think--suddenly--that this is my new favorite name. It *has* been in my number 1 spot before, and now I think it may have returned. I would love to have a little Cecile. And being that she is the patron saint of composers, how could I not love it?

So beautiful. Regal but not pompous. And it makes me think of Cécile de France *swoon*You should definitely have a little Cecile!

Sounds nice, but the meaning sucks.

I really love Cecile! It slips in and out of my top ten and I could easily see myself using it. I also love the nn Cile ("Seal")Cecile Annegret is my stock combo

It's the name of a friend of mine, and I like it a lot, though not quite as much as Cecily. It has an attractive sound, and I can certainly see why you like it. I am nervous about its awful meaning, though.

I love Cecile. It's sort of a family name for me on both sides, as apparently my paternal grandmother's middle name was Cecilia and my maternal grandfather's aunt was named Jennie Cecil. I think in the whole tapestry of Cecil- names, I would say that Cecile is the most sure of herself. She's the calm and mature middle sister between the musical and haughty Cecilia and free spirited Cecily.

It's a bit dated in France but I still love it. I just dislike the meaning which is why I wouldn't use it. I also like Cecily a lot. I would rather spell it Cécile, I think.
