Could Loic work in an English language setting?
What do you think?

I think it could, yes. It's one of my very favorite French names. I do prefer it spelled Loïc, but I would spell it Loic in an English speaking area. I think some people would pronounce it correctly (lo-EEK), but surprisingly a lot of people have a hard time with pronunciations, at least in my experience. I've heard people not be able to pronounce common names. But anyway, I wouldn't let that stop you. People will learn how to say it, and it's a great name.

I don't think it could. Most people wouldn't know how to pronounce it. The first time I ran across it, I was in French class taking a test, and I had to ask my teacher if Loic was a boy or a girl.

I like it a lot but I prefer its original spelling, Loïc. It looks better in my opinion.
I think it could work in English but I don't think it would be pronounced correctly (and by correctly I mean the French way) but neither is Luc and people use it anyway. If you can live with that then yes, it works. It's not a very complicated name.

I don't know quite how to pronounce it. Is it like LO-ik? I think that's how people would say it, so if that's wrong then maybe it wouldn't work. Some people might say LOYK as well, as that's kind what it looks like.

If youre ok with it being pronounced more like low-eek then I think so, because I cant see english speakers getting the "loo eek" sound down very well. I think it could work ok, would just be a little "off"

It's interesting... If I heard in real life this name I'd probably think it was on a kid from a different country but none much other than that.
