In Ancient Greek it would be pronounced (roughly) "ah-THEH-nay" (though the middle syllable would probably be closer to an aspirated "t" sound), whereas in Modern it would be pronounced "ah-THEE-nee."

I've heard it pronounced ah-THAY-nay, with an accent on the first e.
