Isabelle
What do you think of Isabelle? It's been off my list for years but I've started to liking it again.

Isabelle looks too frilly for me, and the frilliness is unnecessary - Isabel sounds exactly the same, and I think it's much nicer. Less princessy, more grown up and classy.
These days it's kinda boring and overused, but at least it's a sensible name and this is the best of the spellings.
I don't like the fake Frenchness of that -le ending, especially when it doesn't get a French pronunciation. Isobel is my favourite form, with Isabel coming second. Isabella is much too fussy for me.
I only really like the spelling Isabel because it's so clean and straight-forward. But either way, I think I would avoid using it at the moment due to the popularity of Isabella. However, I also think it's very pretty and I would at least consider it.
I love Isabelle. I'm particularly drawn to it as it has so many variations and translated spellings.
I used to love the variant Isabella, and still do a little, just a little miffed about the popularity surge due to the Twilight franchise (sorry, but I can't stand this glittery lovelorn vampire whatever) but variants of Isabelle like Isobel and even Ysabel are names I love the look of.

It's a beautiful, elegant name, but I only like it spelled Isabel or Isobel.
I love Isabelle! I would still use it despite its unfortunate popularity at the moment. I just think it's such a fun, lovely, and youthful name.
I think Isabelle is too frilly, but I like Isabel. I think Isabel is more... medeival, maybe. And Isabelle is more of a modern frilly little girl who is possibly spoiled.
Isabelle is one of those lovely names that I really liked before it got too popular, now it's just not for me. However, I do think it is classic, and I like it much, much better than Isabella.
I even like the Scottish variant of Isobel, although I think written, Isabel and Isabelle is nicer.
