That is what I was thinking, that it would kind of be dissociated from the word and thought of as just a name (like May or Rose or whatever, used as both a word and a name).

Except you say "Ever" much more than you say May and Rose. You also say Never a lot."Immer" is the German word for always and it's pronounced almost exactly like Emma. I turned my head a lot in Austria! It's still a common female name there though... hm
