I dislike it. Darlene feels dated and a little downmarket to me. It might be the combination of that -AR first syllable followed by -leen because I feel the same way about Marlene, Charlene, Carleen, and Harlene, but I really don't mind, say, Eileen, Kathleen, and Colleen.

Harlene?!Eeeeewwwwww. Never seen it. Hope I don't. o.OI'm with you. I always liked Eileen, Kathleen, Colleen, Maureen better than -arlene names. I have at some points kind of liked Marlene, but only because Dietrich made it better for me.
