Ok, oh my god, I find this adorable. Maybe too adorable to use, but I don't know. I'd like to know a Jimothy.
I'll have to agree with those who say it's too comical to be taken seriously. Jimothy...LOL
lol
Sounds like a good name for a character.
Jimothi is the name of a minor character in the Abarat books by Clive Barker. You're not the first to have this idea, it looks like :P
I don't really care for it though.

I agree with the rest. It's like someone has trouble with Timothy or Jiminy (Cricket from Pinocchio). I can't see it as a real name.
No, no and again no.
What next - Margizabeth, nn Maggie?

I'm sorry but it sounds like a joke. Jimothy is the sort of name you give a toothless hillbilly in a comic strip
I was just thinking about Tim/Jim the other day. This is why it doesn't work, Timothy isn't "long" for Tim, Tim is short for Timothy. So even thought Jim and Tim sound alike, it doesn't mean that they should both be short for similar names. That's like saying "well, Abby and Addie sound a lot a like... I think I'll name my kid Adigail.".
I realize that you're not considering naming a human this but it's just not nice.
How about Timothy Grey or James Greg?

I call my brother-in-law Jimathy. It's a joke-nn that is supposed to be ridiculous... so if I met someone with the actual name Jimothy I would immediately judge the parents, tbh.
Yep... like something I said once that had my friend in hysterics: "If Charlie is short for Charles, then is Arlie short for... Arles?"
Okay, I know, I'm not that funny. There are enough "names" like this on real people. Recently I've seen (some of them may have been posted here): Jevin, Navid, Javid (g), Tamantha, Kabrina, Taleb, and Shazzmine. And about 20 names that rhyme with Jason.
You should totally use Jimothy in a Sims game or something similar, though. :)

What? Navid is a legit name
Oh! My mistake. I just saw it online on a list of BA's, so I didn't hear how it was pronounced. Thank you. :)
I'm imagining this Navid rhymes with David, where as the legit Navid is pronounced na-VEED.
I don't actually know, since I saw it online, but with hundreds of names that rhyme with Aidan out there, it could.
Oy vey... Those are all terrible... They make Jevin almost sound ok. Navid is ok too if the i isn't w/ the short sound.

I understand where you are coming from, and I didn't expect anyone to particularly care for the name. But I think it is a catchy name: Jimothy Grey. Lol. It isn't on my list of names to use, but I have thought about this name awhile ago.
