If I saw someone named Dorothea or Rosamund, I would enjoy saying the full mellifluous Dorothea or Rosamund. I have a friend named Dorothea, and I find it so simple when people call her Dori. What's Dori when Dorothea is is available?! I would also NOT be able to resist enunciating Rosamund to perfection (like Lady Grantham).
