Ariel
I'm having trouble with one of my main character's names.
I invented him five years ago, he's pretty fully developed, except that his name is Howl, because when I first thought of him I was fifteen, unoriginal, and in love with the book Howl's Moving Castle. His character and appearance were initially inspired by Howl from that novel, and while his character has since blossomed into its own unique self, his physical appearance is still a little too similar. :/ I can't change his appearance now, so I've resolved to change his name. I'm just having trouble with that.
Here's a general description of him:
He's twenty-two for most of my book, he's got straight, longish, somewhat crazy white-blonde hair, brown eyes, and white bird wings, and he's about five-foot-eleven. He's very immature, very easy-going, and sort of annoying/obnoxious at times, but he's still a friendly, intelligent person--he just doesn't like being responsible. He doesn't really know how to be grown up. I guess you could say he's got a bit of a Peter Pan complex.
OK. Any suggestions? For the past few months I've been calling him Ariel, but I'm not so sure about that.
Thanks so much!

Asa is actually the name of a space ship in my story... But I do really like that name, and it seems a waste to use it on something that will hardly be mentioned in my book (like said spaceship)... Maybe I'll use that. Thanks.
