How do you pronounce Violet?
Would you say you pronounce it like Vi-uh-let, Vi-oh-let, or Vi-let? Which do you prefer?

I say Vi-let. It's what I prefer too.

Vi-let. I also think Vi-uh-let is fine, but Vi-oh-let seems off to me.

I usually say Vi-let or Vi-oh-let, usually the latter.

VY-let. The others sound really forced to me.

VIE-let.

Like VIE-ə-let, but that ə is very, very short. It's almost VIE-let, but not quite.

I pronounce it VI-let. I don't really pronounce the o at all, which makes it a 2-syllable name to me. It reminds me too much of the violent so that's why I don't like it very much.

I pronounce it halfway between VY-let and VY-u-let. Most of the time I hear VY-let.
I haven't heard Vt-oh-let, but that seems to sound the most like violate and violent.

Vie-let, same way the flower is pronounced.

I think I used to pronounce it like Vi-uh-let, but I'm pronouncing it more like Vi-let lately because of American Horror Story. I just tried all three aloud and I think that the Vi-oh-let pronunciation might be a bit difficult in my accent for some reason. I had a lot more trouble with it than I'd anticipated.
