Fiammetta
I'm in love with this glorious name, which means "little flame" in Italian and abounds in historical and cultural richness (it was the pseudonym of Boccaccio's muse). In addition to evoking a brilliant, strong-willed, ravishing woman, it sounds smashing with my Italian surname. What are your thoughts?

Obviously, I adore this name, because I legally made it my MN and act as if my FN doesn't exist. Family won't call me Fiammetta, sadly, but if I ever get the chance to move away and fix my name the way I want, I need a new MN. I haven't been able to think of anything, but Fiammetta Pearl is really striking a chord with me. Pearl is my birthstone and I've been warming up to it as a name (not to mention I love seashells!) so I'm going to keep that in mind :)
Ohhh, I adore Fiammetta. It's so spunky and rare. Glorious name. I think it does best with either another Italian name or a short and simple middle name. With another complicated name from another culture, it's a bit heavy.
