Nessa
What do you think of this name on it's own? What are some names that can Nessa could be a nickname for? (Besides the obvious, Vanessa)

I like Nessa on its own. In Irish it means "not gentle" and is the name of a warrior princess in Irish mythology (also Ness and Irish form Neasa). Or, you could use it as a nn for Clytemnestra (!)
I like Nessa better as a nn than a full name. I went to school with a Renessa.
Ines?
I don't really like it as a full name or a nickname... it makes me think of the Loch Ness monster, as people sometimes call it Nessie.
Agnes.
Inessa! love it; It's a form of Agnessa.
I love love LOVE Nessa by itself. In Hebrew, "nes" means "miracle," so this name is miraculous! :) I don't think it needs a full name, but Vanessa, Agnes, and Agnessa could work.
Love it! I'm definitely a Nessa fan. I don't really like it as a nn for Vanessa though. I like it as a nn for Nessarose (but that's mostly a GP). Also, I once met a Jenessa "Nessa". But I just prefer it by itself!
ETA: I also like Anessa, nn "Nessa" or "Annie".
