I give both a thumbs down, sorry.Even though I like foxes as animals, I find Fox borderline inappropriate as a name. I can't shake it's usage as a measure of attractiveness...and sexy attractiveness at that. It's like any Fox had better be good-looking or his/her name becomes a joke. I think the name is also tainted by the Fox Network, but I'm sure my social and political views are coloring my opinion on that. I hate Haze with a special sort of hatred. It reminds me very strongly of polluted skies and hazing rituals, so it sounds both dirty and mean. The sound of it is the thing that keeps me from liking Hazel at all. Putting that aside, I think Hazel on a boy is a bad, bad thing. It's so well-established for girls, and it's only going to become more popular for daughters. I never think it's a good idea to give a child a name that's either a well-known or an up-and-coming name for the opposite sex. Hazel is both for girls.
